Craze had the battle scene on lock in the late 90's winning the World DMC's 3 times in a row, a feat that had never been done before or since. The mix I'm sharing is from March of 1999 and most likley from a college radio show. 60 minutes cut up Craze style... Enjoy!
Here's some Electric Circus footage from 1991 with a hella fine Monica Deol almost forgetting who she is introducing. MmmmmMain Source preforms Looking At The Front Door with Farley Flex & Kish in the house chillin. Small slip up from the Extra P @ 1:16. Is that Starting From Scratch I see at 0:56 at the bottom left in the blue collared shirt? Also included is some earlier footage of a shadeless Large Pro performing Atom!
I've been sitting on some old Rap City footage I've been meaning to share for a while now, and I finally got a video editing program to edit all the tapes of footage. This first clip I 'm sharing is from the debut episode of Rap City on Much Music here in Toronto from sometime in Sept of 1989. Here you have the first of 4 intros Rap City produced for the show during its run, (I'll post the other intros as I edit) as well as a Hip Hop History segment with DJ Red Alert. More footage to follow!
Shout out to my fellow Torontonians The Meaning Of Dope, they have been dropping classic footage after footage for a while now so definitely check them out if you haven't already...
Hot Shit was probably the first Tony Touch Mix Tape I heard and it's one I always go back to. I was in grade 9 when this shit dropped and it had all the ill shit out around 1998. Joints like You Know My Steez & So Wassup had me fiending for the new Gang Starr LP. Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz were going strong with the NY Anthem Deja Vu. Canibus had a nice buzz going from his guest appearances and was getting ready to drop his debut LP featuring the banger How We Roll. Big Pun had the hip hop quotable for Deep Cover and was getting ready to drop his debut as well. Also includes tracks from D.I.T.C., Organized Konfusion, Fat Joe, Killah Priest, Mobb Deep, Mos Def & The Cocoa Brovas. Enjoy!
It's all about the Mission Impossible/Pitfall Pt.2 joint here on this debut 12" from the west coast crew Kali Wild. Kali Wild consists of Oh No, Sauna, Bio & J-Duce with Oh No handling the beats. Enjoy!
